What are LiPo batteries and why are they so popular in the airsoft world
If you don't know what LiPo batteries are, they are a type of portable battery that has taken the airsoft world by storm.
There are three key reasons why RC LiPo batteries are better than other types of rechargeable batteries, like NiCad or NiMH.
LiPo batteries are small and light, and they can be made in almost any shape or size.
Large sizes mean that LiPo batteries can store a lot of power in a small space.
LiPo batteries can power even the most powerful electric motors because they can be discharged quickly.
RC LiPo batteries do have some problems, though, which shows that there is no perfect way to store energy.
Most of the time, RC LiPo batteries cost more than NiCad and NiMH batteries, but the prices are always going down.
LiPo batteries don't last very long—about 300–400 charge cycles (less if not taken care of properly), but they are getting better. But some people get over 1000 rounds if they are very careful and follow all the rules.
LiPo batteries can explode or catch fire if they are not handled properly because the liquid they use is volatile.
If you want your LiPo batteries to last longer than any other type of battery, you need to take special care of them.
How the LiPo is charged, discharged, and stored all affect how long it lasts. If you make even one mistake, the battery will be broken.
