Measuring just 695mm in length, the RDB17 fits into tight spaces with ease — yet it hides a full 420mm inner barrel inside its bullpup chassis, giving it the accuracy and consistency you'd normally expect from a rifle twice its size. That’s the bullpup advantage: minimal overall length without sacrificing barrel length. Whether you’re playing urban, woodland, or mixed terrain, this rifle adapts beautifully, offering quick transitions and a perfectly balanced center of gravity right at your firing hand.

The externals are a mix of practicality and modern styling. The tan high-density polymer shell is textured and squared for grip, and sits over a steel receiver and aluminium upper rail. The rubber buttpad keeps things locked into your shoulder, and five sling mount points let you rig this gun any way you like — single-point, two-point, ambidextrous. The barrel is threaded 14mm CCW, ending in a steel birdcage flash hider that’s ready to be replaced with a suppressor or tracer unit.

Internally, it’s Ares doing what they do best. Their proprietary EFCS gearbox includes a factory-installed MOSFET and electronic microswitch trigger. That means no more mushy bullpup triggers — you get crisp, responsive firing whether you’re tapping semi or laying down full-auto. The quick-change spring system at the rear allows easy FPS tuning for different field requirements. It’s all Deans-wired too, for more efficient power delivery right out of the box.

Battery space is in the handguard, accessible via a steel pin above the pistol grip. It’s built for 7.4v LiPo batteries and has enough room for a crane-style pack. The hop-up is rotary style and lives inside the magwell — adjusted with a tool that tucks neatly into the pistol grip. These little details show how much thought has gone into usability — nothing is clunky or awkward.

Ambidextrous controls make this rifle equally at home in the hands of left- or right-handed players. The mag release and fire selector are mirrored, and the rifle ejects downward, avoiding the classic bullpup problem of shell ejection into your cheek. Reloads are natural, manipulation is smooth, and nothing gets in your way during fast-paced games.

Included are two mid-cap mags: a full-length 130-rounder and a compact 100-round shorty, both STANAG-compatible so you can run your standard M4/AR15 mags without issue.
