If you want something that is great value for money, get the ASG McMillan M40A3 Sniper. If you want to become an airsoft sniper but have never done it before, this is a great gun for you to start with. It has good power and range at a reasonable price.
The M40 sniper that the USMC uses is what this gun is built on.
The M40 was designed and made in the United States by USMC armourers and Remington. From its first use in 1966 to now, it has been in the Vietnam, Gulf, Afghanistan, and Iraq wars. It was called a military-type Remington 700 short action when it was first made.The buttstock and 308 bolt face were both made from a single piece of solid wood. By the time of the M40A3, the stock was made of plastic and was made by McMillan. The M40 series of sniper rifles is on version A5 right now.
One movie that used the M40A3 was Olympus Has Fallen. Other movies that used it are Shooter, Hostage, and many more. It has also been seen in TV shows like CSI Miami S1, Jericho, Magnum PI, Arrow, and Prison Break. It has also been in computer games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 4, Soldier of Fortune, and ArmA II.
This sniper rifle has a single bolt pull action, and it doesn't need gas or batteries to work. To fire it, you just pull the bolt back and push it forward to load the BBs into the chamber, and then pull the trigger to fire. Each load will fire one BB ball. This is a 1/1 scale model of a shooter. It is about 113 cm long and is finished in black.
The body is made of strong thermoplastic and the barrel and bolt are made of metal. It feels good to hold and has a lot of weight to it.
Does it have a RIS/RAS 20 mm rail system on top for putting your scope and below for your bi-pod?
There are sling points on both the front and back of the gun.
The McMillan M40A3 Sniper has a good range and a bolt that is smooth and not too stiff. The gun is pretty strong; it can accurately shoot at 449 m.
The safety switch or catch is next to the bolt lever, and it works like a slide device. A dial on the bottom receiver of the rifle lets you change the hop-up. The dial has a click system that keeps it in place, so you can change the weight of your BBs and the hop-up at the same time.
The clip is taken out and can hold 27 rounds.
