The "scout" is thought to be the "perfect" compact precision rifle because it was made by Steyr Mannlicher to meet the requirements of famous US Marine Jeff Cooper's "Scout Rifle Concept." For many people around the world, the Steyr Scout became famous when it was used in the hit video game "Counter-Strike."
This airsoft sniper gun has a metal cylinder with a high volume that keeps the air pressure high behind each shot. The cylinder and piston head are also very quiet. The Steyr Scout also has an easy-to-adjust hop-up lever and a TDC adjustment that let you set the hop-up precisely. This gun is great for lifting heavier BBs like.36g and up. It can hold up to an M190 spring, and the Steyr Scout has a fairly light trigger pull for how powerful it is. This makes it even more accurate because each shot causes less damage to the rifle.
On the outside, the rifle has high-quality polymer furniture that includes a bipod that folds down and stores nicely inside the receiver when not in use. The high-impact nylon polymer receiver has several QD sling mounts that make it easy to attach a sling. The back of the stock has a replica rifle magazine that can also be used to store the real rifle's magazine and any tools that are needed to adjust the copy. A 20mm picatinny top rail lets you attach a wide range of optics and telescopic sights, and the gun comes with flip-up "iron sights." Finally, the outer barrel of the Steyr Scout has a 14mm CCW thread that lets you attach a number of barrel extension devices and tracer units.
