Double Eagle M906C - AR15 Airsoft Rifle With Falcon System

The M90 series by Double Eagle is a reasonably-priced, high-quality series of modern AR-15s for Airsoft players. The replicas are made from a high-quality alloy and reinforced polymer, creating a more ergonomic platform for use/handling. Beginning at the muzzle, there is an alloy flash hider/muzzle device that attaches to the 14mm CCW male threads on the outer barrel's tip. A lightweight M-LOK handguard encircles the outer barrel and provides ample space for mounting Picatinny rail or M-LOK accessories. On the upper Picatinny rail section of the handguard are pre-installed flip-up iron sights. These must be manually deployed but are spring-assisted, so raising or lowering them takes less than one second. The iron sights are made of high-density polymer, which contributes to the weapon's overall lightness and effectiveness. Both the front and rear sights are entirely adjustable without the use of tools and, when folded down, provide emergency pistol sights with a low profile. The rear sight features two aiming apertures: a large aperture for CQB and close range, and a small aperture for accurate long-range rounds.

The M906 series features a diversity of external components, though the receiver and stock remain constant between models. The receiver is an ambidextrous AR15 design, with the mock ejection port, shell deflector, and counterfeit forward assist located on the right side of the receiver. Pulling the ambidextrous charging handle allows the mimic bolt carrier to be locked to the rear, exposing the rotary HOP unit for adjustment. The mock bolt carrier can then be released using either the conventional "ping pong paddle" on the left side of the receiver or the ambidextrous extension located on the right, above and behind the magazine catch. Additionally, the magazine release is located on both sides and is protected by a "mag catch fence" to prevent accidental discharge. The magazine releases are located on the magazine well, within easy reach of the trigger finger regardless of whether your dominant hand is your left or right hand. When the Falcon FCS is in its default configuration, the ambidextrous fire selector is a familiar AR15-style 3-position switch, allowing for the selection of safe/semi/auto. The selector markings are cast into the receiver on both sides, a practical detail given that the selector is visible from both sides! The trigger of the M90 series is a flat type with a sharp curve at the tip, allowing for a rapid trigger draw while preventing finger slippage. The front face of the trigger is slick, preventing you from eroding away your fingerprints while taking advantage of the rapid trigger response of the M90 series. Two QD sling sockets are cast into the rear of the receiver, keeping the rifle's sling options in accordance with its ambidextrous nature while eliminating the need for a buffer tube sling point and the additional weight it brings. The pistol grip is ergonomic, matching the MOE grip in angle and shape, but with added texturing on either side to keep the rifle securely in the shooter's grip regardless of the weather. The buffer tube is a standard 6-position M4/AR15 tube that is entirely compatible with stocks designed for buffer tube mounting. The supplied stock is an exact replica of the TS2 stock, featuring an ultra-sleek design intended to reduce the likelihood of snagging and a rubberized, inclined buttplate for stability. The stock features an additional four QD sling sockets, giving you even more options when configuring your sling. The stock slider button is a protected trigger type, preventing inadvertent knocks and bumps from altering the stock setting and keeping the design ultra-slim. The receiver is also engraved with "FALCON Fire Control System" across the left side of the upper receiver and "DOUBLE EAGLE 5.56mm" and a DE insignia on the left side of the magazine well. These engravings are very precise and subtle, in keeping with the overall aesthetic of the rifle. Below are the specifications for the front end of the M90 series.

Internals 

While the exterior of the M90 series is exquisitely crafted, the real enchantment lies within. In the rifle variant, Double Eagle's FALCON EFCS Fire Control System is pre-installed.2 gearbox. This feature, which is typically reserved for custom builds and high-end AEGs, is a welcome addition, allowing for 1-5 round burst mode, a binary trigger, and numerous wiring and battery protection features. The 1-5 round burst mode and binary trigger settings can also be set simultaneously, with binary substituting the semi-automatic mode and 1-5 round burst replacing the full-automatic mode. The fire control system is designed for use with Li-Po batteries and prevents the replica from firing if it detects an excessive current draw or a low battery voltage. Please note that an 11.1v LiPo battery is only recommended by the manufacturer if the replica fires faster than 390FPS. Due to the fact that your purchase will fire at a lower voltage out of the box, please avoid using an 11.1v battery. The EFCS fire control system can be programmed with simple trigger draws and operates without the need for external tools, special adapters, or a personal computer. The M90 series is equipped with a modern rotary HOP unit that is fully compatible with aftermarket AEG HOP buckings and nubs. The rotary design makes it simple to modify the level of backspin and prevents the setting from unwinding due to firing vibration. The inner barrel is of standard AEG design, allowing it to be readily replaced with a tight bore aftermarket barrel if you wish to improve the M90's accuracy.

Please note that the gun's EFCS system is only compatible with 7.4v LiPo and 11.1v LiPo, and is not compatible with LiFe or NiMh battery.

Please note that both bump fire and burst modes can be set, as bump fire is applied to semi, and 1-5 fire mode is applied to full auto.

FALCON EFCS Protection Feature

Gearbox Protection

When the current is too high or abnormal the power supply on the EFCS will disconnect to protect the motor and battery, and the motor will vibrate three times.

If the voltage of the battery is too high the EFCS power supply will automatically disconnect and the motor will vibrate two times.

Battery Protection

The FALCON is compatible with 7.4v and 11.1v LiPo battery only, with an operating voltage between 6-13v. If the voltage is too low or too high the power supply will be cut. 

When using an 11.1v LiPo the low voltage protection system will notify the user via 5 vibrations, indicating the batteries voltage is too low to be used.

Vibration Description

Falcon Electronic Fire Control System instructions 

1-5 Shot Mode

• Set the fire select to SAFE.
• Pull the trigger and hold for 3 seconds to enter programming mode, and release when the motor makes a sound.
• Pull the trigger once and release to enter 1-5 shot programming mode, release when the motor makes a sound.
• Pull the trigger 1-5 times depending on the amount of shots you want a single trigger pull to make.
• Set the fire select to full auto.

Trigger Sensitivity

• Set the fire select to SAFE.
• Pull the trigger and hold for 3 seconds to enter programming mode, and release when the motor makes a sound.
• Pull the trigger twice and release to enter sensitivity programming mode, release when the motor makes a sound.
• Pull the trigger between 1-3 times for different levels of sensitivity.

Bump Fire Mode

• Set the fire select to SAFE.
• Pull the trigger and hold for 3 seconds to enter programming mode, and release when the motor makes a sound.
• Pull the trigger three times and release to enter bump fire programming mode, release when the motor makes a sound.
• Set the fire selector to semi-auto
• Repeat the same process to disable bump fire

Reset to Default

• Set the fire select to SAFE.
• Pull the trigger and hold for 5 seconds to reset all settings.
