Ares Classic Line Lee Enfield L42A1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle Including Scope & Mount in Wood & Black (CLA-006)

Few military firearms enjoy the legendary status of the Lee Enfield, and the Ares Classic Line Lee Enfield L42A1 Airsoft Sniper Rifle is a fitting tribute to one of Britain's most famous precision rifles. Designed with collectors, military historians, re-enactors and skirmishers in mind, this beautifully engineered sniper rifle replica combines premium materials with remarkable historical accuracy. It isn't simply another airsoft gun styled to resemble the original; it has been built to capture the weight, appearance and handling characteristics that made the L42A1 so respected during its service with the British Army.

The Lee Enfield family has served Britain through two World Wars and beyond, earning a reputation for reliability, accuracy and one of the smoothest bolt actions ever designed. The L42A1 represented the final chapter of that famous lineage, entering service during the 1970s after being converted to fire the 7.62×51mm NATO cartridge. Remaining in frontline use until the arrival of the Accuracy International L96 in the early 1990s, it became an iconic Cold War sniper rifle. ARES has faithfully recreated that historic platform, making this airsoft sniper rifle an exceptional choice for anyone looking to recreate British military loadouts or simply own an authentic piece of airsoft engineering.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the superb real wood furniture. The stock and handguards are manufactured from genuine wood, giving the rifle an authentic look and feel that synthetic alternatives simply cannot match. Every rifle displays its own unique grain pattern and natural colour variation, making each one subtly different. Combined with the classic military profile of the Lee Enfield, the rifle has an unmistakable presence whether displayed on a wall or carried onto the skirmish field.

The quality continues throughout the metalwork. Approximately 95% of the rifle is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel before receiving a durable QPQ protective finish. This construction provides exceptional strength while closely replicating the appearance of the original military rifle. At around 4400 grams, the rifle feels reassuringly substantial in the hands, with the same solid balance expected from a genuine full-size service rifle. Every component feels robust and well engineered, helping the replica achieve its museum-grade reputation among enthusiasts and collectors.

Internally, the CLA-006 uses a dependable spring-powered bolt action system that perfectly complements the rifle's traditional design. Unlike many standard spring-powered sniper rifles, ARES has incorporated its innovative direct BB feeding system, providing smoother feeding and a more authentic shooting experience. Cycling the bolt is one of the highlights of the rifle, delivering the smooth, positive action that the original Lee Enfield became famous for. Every shot feels deliberate, encouraging careful marksmanship rather than rapid fire, making the rifle immensely satisfying to use both on the range and during skirmishes.

The package also includes a pre-installed steel scope and matching steel scope mount, eliminating the need to source compatible optics separately. The mount has been manufactured to the same high standards as the rest of the rifle, giving a secure fit while perfectly completing the distinctive silhouette of the L42A1. Unlike many sniper rifle packages that require additional purchases before they look complete, this arrives ready to impress straight from the crate.

Measuring 1140mm in length, the rifle possesses the elegant proportions of the original British sniper rifle. The detachable 35-round magazine maintains realistic dimensions while providing ample capacity for skirmishing, and the adjustable hop-up allows users to fine-tune BB trajectory when using different ammunition weights. Whether you're engaging targets during woodland games or displaying it as part of a military collection, this airsoft gun performs just as well as it looks.

ARES has also paid close attention to presentation. Rather than supplying the rifle in conventional cardboard packaging, the L42A1 is housed inside a unique crate-style hard presentation case that immediately reinforces its premium status. Opening the case feels more like unveiling a collector's piece than simply unpacking another airsoft rifle. Alongside the rifle you'll find the steel scope and mount already fitted, a 35-round magazine and a cleaning rod, creating a complete package from the outset.

Combining authentic real wood, extensive stainless steel construction, innovative internal design and outstanding historical accuracy, the Ares Classic Line Lee Enfield L42A1 stands comfortably amongst the finest collector-grade airsoft sniper rifles available today. Whether your interest lies in Cold War re-enactment, military collecting or simply owning an exceptionally well-made airsoft rifle, this remarkable replica delivers authenticity, quality and timeless British military heritage in equal measure.
