The CM501 is one of a new series of Starter Skirmisher rifles produced by CYMA, one of the most popular Chinese airsoft manufacturers. This new line of rifles has made waves in the airsoft community and is regarded as the best entry-level M4s on the market, and it would be difficult for us to disagree.

The rifle has a metal gearbox and other mechanical parts, etc., like some other guns costing much more, but at a low price to accommodate airsoft beginners. However, don't let the low price fool you; what you get with this rifle is a weapon that can more than hold its own against airsoft rifles costing much more.

The Cyma CM501 is based on the most well-known rifle platform in the world, the Colt M4, and this model is an exact 1:1 scale replica of the actual firearm. The M4 is the primary infantry weapon for the United States Armed Forces and United States Marine Corps combat units. The M4 can also accommodate the M203 and M320 grenade launchers.

This model features a decent quality polymer receiver with minimal flex, as well as a metal gearbox and Hi-torque motor.

Pulling back the charging handle on the side of the bb gun allows access to the hop-up, which is located beneath the dust cover. The fire selector is located near the trigger on the side of the firearm (the same as the real thing). This model has an adjustable navy stock and front and rear sights on the rifle (the rear sight is removable).
The front and rear of the bb gun are equipped with sling mount loops, and the handguard has four 10" RIS rails for attaching any aftermarket accessories.

The short barrel of the weapon makes this rifle ideal for CQB games. A high-capacity magazine holds approximately 300 bb pellets.

This is a standard M4 magazine, meaning that any standard M4 magazine from any other M4 will fit this gun. This is useful if you already have some or if you go to a game and need to borrow one. It also means that spare parts are available virtually everywhere.
We imported this directly from the Cyma factory and had it made to UK spec for bbguns4less; we do not sell it to other airsoft or bb gun companies. The difference with this gun is that its spring has the correct amount of force to comply with the new UK law, so you won't need to have it downgraded. In addition, the two-tone colour is made of blue plastic, as opposed to being painted like every other company, so the paint will not wear off after use. In addition, a Rhos UK Mains Charger and rechargeable battery pack are included (with others, you will get a EU Charger, meaning you will need to buy an adapter.)

The CYMA CM501 performs admirably in the field with a sufficient rate of fire, range, power, and accuracy to compete with much more expensive weapons, and its metal gearbox makes it quite durable. If you're unfamiliar with airsoft guns, the fact that this rifle is electric means that it is powered by the included rechargeable battery unit and fires automatically when the trigger is pulled. If you hold the trigger down on full auto, you'll be able to fire 8 to 10 shots per second. This is not a spring-powered device.
