Umarex 2.6469 - Smith and Wesson 629 Classic 5" Revolver in Black

The Umarex Smith & Wesson 629 Classic 5" PBL-BLK is a faithful airsoft replica of one of the most recognisable magnum revolvers ever produced. Built by KWC under official Umarex licensing, this full-metal revolver captures the unmistakable lines of the legendary Model 629 while delivering a realistic and satisfying shooting experience in 6mm airsoft form. From the moment you pick it up, the weight and balance immediately stand out, giving you that reassuring heft you’d expect from a proper wheel gun.

Starting at the front, the revolver features a well-proportioned 5-inch barrel that strikes a sweet spot between accuracy and handling. It gives the airsoft gun a classic profile while remaining comfortable to aim and control during extended shooting sessions. The fixed front sight and rear notch sight provide a simple yet effective aiming system, ideal for target shooting or casual plinking where reliability and consistency matter more than complex adjustments.

The external construction is entirely metal, giving the 629 Classic an impressive weight of around 1.40 kg (3.08 lbs). That solid build doesn't just improve realism; it also adds durability and stability when firing. The sleek black finish paired with matching black grip panels creates a more modern visual style compared to traditional stainless variants, while still maintaining the unmistakable Smith & Wesson silhouette.

Move toward the centre of the airsoft gun and you'll find the heart of the revolver experience — the six-shot cylinder. Like the real steel counterpart, the cylinder swings out to the side, allowing you to load individual shells. Each shell holds a single 6mm BB, adding a level of realism that many enthusiasts appreciate. It’s a small detail, but physically loading the cartridges and ejecting them afterwards adds an immersive mechanical charm you simply don’t get with most magazine-fed designs.

Powering the revolver is a standard 12g CO₂ cartridge housed neatly inside the grip. CO₂ operation provides strong and consistent performance, typically producing velocities in the region of 300–340 FPS depending on temperature and BB weight. The result is a crisp shot with a satisfying report and dependable power output that works well for backyard targets or casual range sessions.

The trigger system offers both single-action and double-action firing modes. In single-action, you can manually cock the hammer for a lighter trigger pull and more deliberate shot placement. In double-action, the revolver cycles the hammer and fires with a single pull of the trigger, giving you that authentic revolver shooting rhythm. The trigger break feels smooth and mechanical, adding to the overall realism of the platform.

Ergonomically, the grip is shaped to sit naturally in the hand. The textured grip panels provide good purchase without being overly aggressive, making the revolver comfortable to handle whether you're firing a few cylinders or spending an afternoon practising your aim. The balance created by the metal frame and 5-inch barrel also makes the airsoft pistol feel steady when lining up shots.

For collectors and enthusiasts of classic firearms, the Smith & Wesson 629 Classic is instantly recognisable. This Umarex and KWC collaboration brings that iconic design into the airsoft world with convincing detail, solid construction, and reliable CO₂ performance. Whether it’s displayed proudly in a collection or taken out for regular target shooting, this airsoft revolver offers timeless style paired with dependable functionality.
