Inspired by the M45A1-style sidearms associated with the US Marine Corps, this full-size airsoft pistol measures approximately 220mm long, stands around 135mm high and weighs roughly 820g. That weight is immediately noticeable when you pick it up. The beavertail encourages a high, repeatable grip, helping the pistol settle naturally into the hand. There's also a lanyard loop for additional retention, which can be useful during woodland games, vehicle-based scenarios or any skirmish where your secondary is likely to receive a bit of enthusiastic treatment.

A 16+1 round single-stack style magazine supplies the Green Gas and BBs. The slimmer magazine format helps preserve the recognisable 1911 grip profile rather than giving the pistol the chunkier feel of a double-stack design. The magazine is designed to drop free for faster reloads, and the gas filling valve is located in the usual position. Depending on the Green Gas bottle you're using, a nozzle extension may make filling easier. That's worth checking before heading to your first game rather than discovering it beside the safe-zone chrono with five minutes to spare.

At approximately 820g, this isn't a featherweight sidearm, and that's very much part of its personality. The combination of a metal frame, metal slide and metal outer barrel produces a reassuringly solid feel in the hand and a more noticeable presence in the holster. At the same time, the 220mm overall length keeps it within familiar full-size 1911 territory. For CQB, the clear sights, semi-automatic action and accessory rail make plenty of practical sense, while outdoor players can make use of the adjustable hop to tune the pistol around their preferred BB weight.

The WE Tech M45A1 ultimately combines the slim grip and familiar controls of a 1911 with features better suited to modern airsoft use.
