Output is listed at approximately 301-350 FPS, or around 1 Joule depending on the setup and test conditions. As always, actual performance should be checked with a chronograph before play and adjusted to suit the limits of your chosen site.

The rifle is rear wired and uses a Deans connector, with ARES recommending a 7.4V LiPo battery. The electronic trigger system helps the rifle feel responsive without requiring excessive battery voltage. An adjustable hop-up works with the approximately 200mm inner barrel to tune BB flight, while the functioning mock bolt lock makes access to the hop unit more convenient. That combination is especially useful on a compact airsoft gun, where barrel length is naturally limited and the hop-up plays a major part in getting the best usable range from the platform.

Feeding is handled by the included 130-round mid-cap magazine, and one of the SCAR-SC's biggest practical advantages is its compatibility with many M4 and M16 AEG magazines. That means existing players can often use magazines they already own rather than starting from scratch with a proprietary format.
